Agents

An agent watches for one specific buying signal and drops whoever matches into a list, on a schedule, without you asking again. Agents live under Signals in the Fuse app. The REST API calls them agents (/business/agents), and the MCP tools call them signal monitors, which is the same thing. To build one over the API, see Create an agent.

The two shapes

Every agent is one of two shapes, and it is the first choice you make when creating one.

Watch a list you have

You already know these people or companies. The agent watches them and tells you when something changes.

Find new leads

You do not know them yet. The agent goes looking for anyone matching the signal and brings them back.

Over the API, the list watchers are created with job-changes-watcher, people-watcher and companies-watcher (pick the signal with eventType), and the other agents each have their own kind. Create an agent lists all 18. Sales Navigator Search and Google Maps Search are available in the app only.

What it costs

Agents are not billed the same way as each other, because they do not work the same way. Starting an agent is free.

Web Monitor	50 per result saved to the list
People and companies watchers	50 per watched contact or company on every check, daily unless you choose another frequency, whether or not anything changed

LinkedIn Profiles and LinkedIn Post Engagement	50 per profile added
Google Maps Search	50 per business saved

A watcher on a list of 1,000 people that checks daily therefore costs 50,000 credits a day. The app also shows the cost model on the agent itself before you activate it. See credits and billing for how the workspace balance works.

An agent pauses itself when your balance runs short. When results arrive, or a watcher’s check is due, and your balance cannot cover it, Fuse pauses the agent. It also pauses when it reaches its result cap (maxContacts, or maxCreditSpend on a web monitor). Top up, then choose Activate on the agent in the app, or call update_signal_monitor_status with active over MCP. The REST API cannot resume an agent: duplicate it and activate the copy, as Create an agent explains. An agent past its expiration date cannot be resumed.
