What gets created
On Salesforce and Zoho you choose whether people arrive as Contacts or Leads. The setting lives under Settings → Integrations → your CRM on the Configuration tab.
Turning it on
Contact pushing is off until you enable it. In the Fuse app go to Settings → Integrations, choose your CRM, open the Sync tab, and turn on Push contact records. There is a matching Push company records toggle beside it.Which people are added
Fuse only pushes people it has contact details for, meaning an email address or a phone number. This is deliberate. Someone you have no way to reach is not useful in a CRM, and most CRMs cannot reliably deduplicate a record with no email, so pushing them creates duplicates that are painful to clean up later. If someone in a list is not appearing in your CRM, this is usually why. Enrich them and they will be included in the next sync.Updating existing records
Fuse matches on email address, so re-syncing the same person updates their existing record rather than creating a second one.Fuse will not overwrite what you already have. When updating an existing record it only fills fields that are currently empty. If your team corrected someone’s job title, that correction stands. The exception is a manual push, where you are explicitly asking Fuse to refresh a record. There, overwriting is the intent.
